What you can make from one candle photo

Six kinds of shot, all from the same product photo.

White-background product shot

The candle alone on pure white with the label facing the camera, for marketplace main images and wholesale line sheets.

Backgrounds that match the scent

Fig leaves for a fig candle, cedar and wool for a winter blend, sliced citrus for a summer scent. Describe it or pick one.

Room scenes

On a bath ledge, a bedside table or a dinner table, so shoppers see the size next to things they own.

Gift sets and collections

Three candles and a box, or the whole scent range, in one shot. Caspa can place several products in one photo.

Seasonal versions

The same candle styled for autumn, the holidays or Valentine’s Day, without restyling a shelf every season.

Short product video

Turn a candle photo into a short clip for product pages, ads and social, on the Growth and Scale plans.

How it works

From one candle photo to a full listing in three steps.

Upload one product photo

Photograph the candle unlit, label facing you, on a plain surface. Want lit scenes? Shoot a lit version too. Caspa keeps the candle as it is.

Pick a scene or describe one

Choose white, a template or a room, or type it: “amber jar candle on a stone bath ledge, eucalyptus, soft morning light”.

Download or make a video

Download images for your listings, upscaled to 4K if you need it, or turn one into a product video on Growth or Scale.

Candle photography shot list

What shoppers look for before they buy a scent they can’t smell.

The candle
  • Front, with the label readable
  • Lid on and lid off
  • Top-down view of the wax and wicks
  • Base or back label with burn time and safety warnings
Scale and setting
  • Next to a hand, a book or a mug for size
  • In the room it’s made for: bath, bedroom, kitchen
  • Burn time, wax type and weight on an infographic
  • Every scent styled the same way across the range
Lit shots
  • Lit, with a full, even melt pool
  • The glow in a dim room
  • Wood or cotton wick in view
  • Photograph these lit for real: Caspa keeps your candle as photographed

Shoot yourself: the candle lit, the wax surface and the label up close. The flame and the melt pool should be your real ones.

Make with Caspa: the white-background image, scent backgrounds, room scenes and seasonal versions of every candle in the range, starting from those photos.

Marketplace rules for candle images

Main-image rules as of October 2026. Marketplaces update them, so check before you list.

Amazon. The main image is the candle alone on pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255), filling at least 85% of the frame, with no extra props. Amazon recommends at least six images, so room scenes and scent cues fill the rest. Amazon image rules

Etsy. Every listing needs at least one unedited photo of the actual candle against a real background. On the other photos Etsy allows AI edits such as new backgrounds, as long as the item still looks like what the buyer receives. Etsy recommends 2,000 pixels or more on each side. Etsy photo rules

Shopify. Shopify sets no background rule. Square images at 2048 x 2048 pixels usually display best, and one aspect ratio for every main image keeps collection pages even. Shopify image sizes

Yes, from a photo of the candle lit. Caspa keeps your product as photographed, so the flame and melt pool in every scene are the real ones. An unlit photo with the label facing the camera works best for white-background images.

One that tells shoppers the scent before they read the label: dried orange and cloves for a spiced blend, eucalyptus and a folded towel for a spa scent, white linen and morning light for clean cotton. Keep props smaller than the candle and close to the label’s colors so the candle stays the focus.

Yes. Caspa keeps the text on your labels and packaging as it is in your photo. Start with a sharp photo, label square to the camera, and it reads the same in every scene.

Yes. Caspa can place multiple products in one image, which suits gift sets, collections and seasonal bundles.

Yes, on the Growth and Scale plans. Caspa turns a single photo of your candle into a short product video for product pages, ads and social.
